Frequently Asked Questions

Age can vary from person to person. However, I believe that from the age of 7 or 8, a child already has the physical structure needed to start learning to play seriously. It’s recommended to buy a 3/4 guitar to make learning easier, especially if the child has small hands. From that age, anyone can learn with the courses and training on the platform.

Yes. For those who already play some basic chords, it is recommended to start the course from the beginning because our method is designed for the student to progress step by step. Each step of the learning process is important to prevent difficulties when more complex topics are introduced. Therefore, it’s recommended to always start from the beginning to ensure no step is skipped.

Distance learning can be as effective as in-person classes, and in my opinion, it can even be better if certain key criteria are met. The teacher must show every detail of each step in the learning process, such as the correct hand positioning to make playing difficult chords easier, more efficient practice methods that deliver better results, and ways of thinking that help with understanding and memorizing, among other things.

All of this can be done through online lessons. The great advantage is that the lessons are recorded, so students can review them whenever they want—something not possible with in-person classes, where they would have to wait until the next session to ask questions. Furthermore, the lessons should be structured step by step, ensuring gradual and continuous progress, so the student doesn’t get stuck on something beyond their current level.

The visualization of what the teacher is showing on screen should also be clear, leaving no room for doubt. My guarantee is that I will follow all of these steps to ensure that the lessons are 100% effective. Also, if the student doesn’t understand something, they can ask questions in the comments section of each lesson to clarify their doubts.

However, the real factor that determines whether you learn or not is your own commitment to your progress. Practice is key, and if you stay focused, I guarantee that you will definitely learn.

The course “From zero to your favorite songs” is being recorded and made available on the platform with monthly and weekly updates. This course is designed for beginners on guitar, and as we progress, more courses will be made available. Currently, the first module is available, and it takes about a month to complete. By the time you finish, module two will be available, and so on.

Currently, you can pay with debit and credit cards.

This is the million-dollar question. If you understand that your progress depends on how much you practice, then you already have the answer. However, I can give you a tip: practicing for 15 minutes every day is much more effective than practicing for 1 hour in one day and then not picking up the guitar for a week. Daily consistency will help you progress much faster.

My advice is to practice at least 30 minutes a day. By the end of a year, you’ll definitely be playing some great guitar. But if, for some reason, you can’t practice for 30 minutes one day, even 10 or 15 minutes will do. The important thing is to practice every day so your brain can learn to command your fingers. It’s the brain that needs the workout – the fingers simply follow its lead.

You have a 7-day guarantee to request a refund from the date of your first payment. If the 7 days have already passed, you can cancel your subscription, and you won’t be charged for the following month. There are no binding contracts.

At the beginning of learning, it doesn’t matter whether you start on a classical or an electric guitar, because the basic concepts are the same for both. However, at a more advanced level, and depending on the style you want to play, you’ll need to choose between one or the other. In this first year of study here at Boas Guitarradas, we will focus on the basic concepts, so it doesn’t matter which of the two you start with. In the following years, we will have specific lessons for classical guitar as well as for electric guitar, where we will cover techniques and songs specific to each type.
